Brett Graduates and more!

Our happy little family on Brett's graduation day!

Madi LOVES folding herself in half and eating her feet!

Just so you know we were parked! Madi was on her
daddy's lap and grabbed the steering wheel all by herself!

From left to right Aunti Dee (grandma's sister), Grandma Hatch,

my mom, me, Meg.

Madi fell asleep while holding her bottle! We couldn't get it

away from her without her grabbing it really hard!

This is a raw Cohog (pretty much a clam) Brett really did eat one and so did I!

I was eating steamed clams and drenching them in butter!

Madi and uncle Robby chilin at the house. She eventually fell asleep it was cute!

Brett had to make sure Madi could say she had put her feet in the Atlantic Ocean!

I am so happy to say that Brett is finally done with school! I have my husband back!! Sadly though I have gone back to work part time. Brett keeps telling me just to quit but I know that me having a job will help us out a little financially so oh well. Anyways back to Brett graduating! He got a cool diploma and he also got an award for perfect attendance! I am so proud of him! He is now applying to a bunch of police departments and we are hoping that he will get hired on soon. Well Bretts parents came and town for him graduation and we had so much fun! His dad worked most of the time but Bonnie and I got to spend a lot of time together and she got to spend a lot of time with Madi which is really important to me! I only wish they would move closer to us again!

So we just barely got back from Massachusetts and we had a blast! The day we got there it was almost 100 % humidity and no air conditioning in the house our family rented. We all could have just passed out! It did get better and a lot more tolerable later on in the week. The last day there it rained so hard but it was fun because we toured around Boston and got to go see some historical sites and we got to go to Fenway park where the Red Sox play! It was beautiful and green there and we loved every minute. I wouldn't mind living in a place that green and beautiful but one I don't like humidity and two its too far away from home!

Now for the best news of all! Madison can now roll over from back to front and scoots a little across the ground! It is kinda funny to watch her scoot! She started rolling on Tuesday or Wednesday of last week! It was when we were back east! Brett reached down to help her roll over but before he could help she did it by herself! So now if she isn't folded in half sucking on both her feet she is rolling onto her tummy and scooting! She hasn't figured out that if she continues to roll front to back and so on she can go somewhere but I am guessing she will figure that out soon! She giggles now and we have started her on baby food! She loves it and gobbles it down! She is growing so fast and it makes me sad! I am excited though for her to learn to crawl because she just wants to go everywhere right now and she can't! Well hope everyone is doing well!

Playing Catchup!

Daddy's first time giving Madi a bath!

Doesn't she look happy to be there!!? haha
First swimming trip!

I had to take one last picture in this shirt!
It's too small for her now!

So this is Madi's first pony tail! I still can't
decide if I like it! I did a photo shoot with her this day!

She is so cute when she sleeps!!

So she throws fits now when she doesn't want to be in her bouncy anymore
and this is what she ends up doing! It is so funny!!

This is on our way back from family pictures.
She was exhausted and passed out!
4 generations of Portuguese women!

Kai was loving playing the piano with Corry!

This is Nick and Madi the morning we brought him to the MTC.

Nick and I outside the MTC. Yes my eyes are
blood shot from crying so much!

So it's been a while so I'm going to fit as much as possible in and hopefully it won't be too long!
Madi had her first swimming experience and I really don't know if she liked it or not! She really
didn't have too much of an expression the whole time! When we got out of the pool she
started talking to Brett and that is it! She didn't peep while we were in the pool or anything! She
is getting so big and is filling out as you can tell by the pictures! She is having problems sleeping
through the night so hopefully we can get that problem solved and quickly because I am getting
really run down! It always seems like she takes really good naps in the day when I stay awake
but if I go to lay down.....well she has to wake up! She has some alarm that sounds when mommy goes to bed! I have the best news ever! Brett is done with school!!!! I can't believe he is finally
done! He past all of his tests which I knew he would! It is going to be so weird to have him home
now!! We had a lot of family in town this past weekend because my little brother had his mission
farewell and we blessed Madison the same day in my parents ward! It was awesome! I am very
sad though because Nick left yesterday July 2 to the MTC and let me tell you they don't make
that MTC very fun to go to!! lol! Just because you are dropping off a brother or sister that you
won't get to see again for 2 years! Its kind of scary but I know Nick is in God's hands now.
Well Madi has started to roll over from front to back officially now! I think it is kind of an
accident but she does it! It is kind of cute though because she goes into a pike position and then
rolls to the side! She has gotten to be very vocal too! If she wants something she makes sure
EVERYONE knows! She is starting to laugh a little more and she smiles a lot! It is nice! She is
still a daddy's girl and she is a total grandpa's girl! Poor grandpa though every time he holds her
she won't look at him! It's probably because he is so much taller then everyone that she gets to
see everything in a totally different view! Brett did really well with blessing her on Sunday too.
After the blessing Brett held her up and she spit out her binky and started looking around like
crazy! I think she liked being the center of attention! lol! We are looking forward to this next
week because Brett's parents will be here to see us and for Brett's graduation! I hope all is well
with everyone!

Fun and games

Momma Moody, Robyn, and Me in our Bobsled!!

Uncle Nick is so good with her! He is also
amazing at the Piano!

These are my best friends little girls. Kylee is on the left and that is Desi's and Addison is
on the right and that is Lucy's. They are 3 weeks apart Kylee is older

Madi's first hat!

Kai and Madison. She wouldn't look at him!! He is all giggles and smiles!!

Kai wanted to touch her eyes it was funny!

Kai was trying to suck on Madi's chubby cheeks!! lol!!

Daddy seeing what it feels like to carry a baby in front of him!

So we have had an exciting couple of weeks! You are never going to believe that Brett actually had a few days off this past week! It was really weird to see him and have him home! He is almost done with school it is the final countdown! June 30 is his last day of school and I am so excited! He is in the interview process with the Provo police department and we both hope he gets an offer. If he doesn't there is plenty of other police departments around but Provo is the ideal one for now! Madison is getting so huge! She is starting to fill out more and actually has more rolls on her legs then on her chin!

My friend Robyn and her mom came in town a couple weeks ago and we had so much fun! We went to the Olympic park in Park City and my mom watched Madison so it was just us big girls! We also went shopping which was fun too they have some nice outlet stores up there! I felt bad though because they came in town the same weekend all the drama was happening with my family. I am glad though that they were here because it kept me distracted and I actually had adult interaction without Madi! No offense I love my daughter but it was nice to hang out without having to worry about changing her or feeding her or making sure she was napping or any of that! Thank you Momma Moody and Robyn for everything!! I love you guys!

So my grandpa's funeral went really well. There was so many people there it was amazing! It was nice to see how loved and appreciated he was. We saw a lot of family that we haven't seen in a long time. Madison got to play with her cousin Kai! Well he more tried to play with her while she just laid there in a daze! It was so cute! I have come to the conclusion though that she loves boys! And that she doesn't like to smile around me that much. My mom and I had to run an errand while we were down in St. George and my dad was supposed to be watching her. When we got back Corry and Meg were taking care of her and playing with her and don't worry she was smiling and talking to them and having a good time! I was glad because they have just seen her cry but I was so jealous because she was being so cute with them!! Oh well she does have her good days with me! I told Meg I am bringing Madison down there so they could teach her how to be happy! lol!

I forgot! Madison had her 2 month doctors appointment and let me tell you she likes shots as much as me! She screamed and cried like no other. You would have thought someone was killing her! It was definitely the saddest cry I have ever heard! Good thing Brett was there I couldn't handle it I'm too big of a whimp! I had to cover my eyes when they gave her the shots and Brett had to hold her arms down. It was cute though after the nurses gave her her shots Brett picked her up and just cuddled her forever! She calmed down a little bit and then we gave her her bottle which calmed her down a lot. That night was bad though because her little legs were killing her. We ended up going and putting her in a nice warm bath which helped alot!! Anyways but she weighed 10 pounds 8 ounces and was 22" long and she is in the 50th percentile which is average! She is getting big and even wears 0-3 month old clothes and sometimes 3 month old clothes! No more newborn clothes for her! I hope all is well with everyone!

Madison's first camping trip!

This is for my Michigan family! lol!

Gpa and Madison waiting for me and Nick to
survive our hike!
Madison's bath on our "camping" trip!

Sam was a good sport to let us put Madi on him!
She actually stopped crying when we did this!

Daddy got her ready for church and put her in her
bouncy and she fell asleep!

Nick is too tan....... But doesn't Madi look cute with
sunglasses on!?

Madison's sunblock! Don't worry I rubbed it in!

Nick is a good babysitter and Madison loves him!
He carried her around like this and she fell asleep!
Nick's "Wild" horse!
Hawk Eye and Bodacious! Mine is cuter! lol!!

If you look to the top of the picture that is
where we had to climb back up to!

So I have been informed I am really bad about keeping my blog up.... SORRY!!!! Anyways so everything has been going really well! Madison is not being as cranky now that her tummy is getting full! She is a very gassy baby! She can let them rip better then her daddy! hahaha! She is smiling so much now I love it! Brett wasn't able to see it for the first while because when he got home she was either sleeping or hungry! Now though she smiles at her daddy and has conversations with him it is so cute! I have to tell you though the other day I was in the other room getting ready to go somewhere and I can hear talking from the front room and I come out to see who Brett was talking to and there he was cooing and talking and just having such a good time with her! I could just see his face glowing it was the cutest thing I have ever seen! Madison was just sitting there smiling and talking back! He might kill me for putting that on here but oh well everyone has to know he has a soft side! haha! So my dad, Nick, Madison and me went to Bryce canyon for a weekend away and had so much fun! Now our kind of camping is done in a 5th wheel with a toilet and running water! We are just a little spoiled! Madison actually was a really good girl the whole time! I never knew how bad of shape I was in though until my dad told me and Nick to go on this hike down this really steep hill with a billion switch backs! Going down was the okay part the coming back up was....well lets say when I got up to the top I was sweating(sp) so bad and about to pass out so I had to hold onto Nick for a long, long, long time! I wanted to stop and rest on the way back up but then I realized I was almost at the top and if I stopped then I may never make it the rest of the way! Not to mentioned I wanted to get to the top so I could strangle Nick because he was running circles around me! LITERALLY!!! I could have just pushed him down the hill! lol! just kidding love you Nick! My dad had a good time watching Madison though. Well that's what he said! My dad also got Nick and I horse back rides and it was so fun! I did a lot better then Nick though cause he doesn't have a butt and I have more then enough to share! Nick's horse (BODACIOUS) and my horse (HAWK EYE) had issues though. Nick's horse kept putting his nose up my horses butt so then my horse would fart in its face which was hilarious because then Nick would have to smell it and our horses weren't walking fast enough to make the smell go away! It definitely made me laugh so hard though! So on a more serious note now. My grandpa Snow past away this week on May 25. He died of an Aneurysm on his Aorta valve. It is a relief though because he was in an extreme amount of pain. His funeral is going to be this Friday. My dad is handling it really well for the moment. I think when we get down there reality will set in for everyone but for now we are all doing okay. For some more news my brother Robby almost died the other day! He was river rafting on May 24 with some guys and his raft flipped over and ran him and another guy over. The other guy was able to get back to the raft but Rob was swept downstream and was caught by the park rangers. He was in and out of consciousness and hypo thermic. The two guys were life flighted to a hospital for evaluation. He ended up being fine just banged up pretty good and was able to talk to my parents and tell them not to come. Thank heavens he was okay! I made sure I yelled at him and told him not to scare me like that again or I'll have to kill him! lol! Anyways so its been a fun week for my family as you can tell! But for now all is well and hopefully things will get a lot better! I hope all is well for everyone and I am sorry this is so long!

St.George Trip

She looks so tiny in her car seat!

This is her favorite binky! Her uncle Nick
got it for her!

Nick and his favorite girls!! hehe!!

Great Grandpa Snow and Madison.

Uncle Corry and Aunt Meg. Its weird to see
Corry holding something pink instead of blue!
She holds her head up so well!

This is Kylee. We have to coax her to play with Brett!

Okay we were mean and put her in Kylee's bouncer! Her feet didn't even come close to the ground!

She is just so cute in this dress!

This is is Cadillac (left) and Roxy. I got them groomed and they were no very happy!!

Well Madison is getting bigger by the day! She is almost too tall for her newborn outfits! It makes me so sad! We thought for a little bit that she was Colicky but after talking to Corry and Meg we figured out that it was me drinking soda that made her tummy hurt! So sadly I had to stop drinking soda and life has been so much better! We went down to St. George about a week ago to be with my little brother Nick as he went through the temple. It was so awesome to be there with him and spend time with him. It makes me sad to see him all grown up! Corry and Meg made it up from Las Vegas and so we got to see them and got to play with Kai! He is the cutest baby ever! Well excluding Madison! (no offense guys!! lol! love you!) He laughs and giggles and when we put Madison next to him he just wanted to touch her! It was cute! He would just sit there and stare at her too! But of course she was a brat and cried the whole time that we were there! Oh well hopefully we have solved the crying issue so next time we see family she will be happy! My grandma and grandpa Snow got to see her for the first time too that was pretty fun! She loves her great grandpa. He would hold her and talk to her and she would just sit there and stair at him like he was the coolest person ever! It was cute.
Madison is still rolling over but every time I try to get a video of her doing it she won't roll over! I think she is camera shy! We haven't gone in to get her first set of shots yet but I am dreading that day! I told Brett he has to be the mean one and hold her cause if I hold her I might cry too! Especially being as emotional as I have been! I am guessing she weighs about 9 or 10 pounds now and her cheeks keep getting bigger and that double chin of hers......well its now almost a triple chin!! I don't know where she gets all those chins but they are pretty cute! She has started to sleep about 6 hours in a row at night! It is so nice to get 6 hours of sleep in a row! After the 6 hours is up though she is up about every 3 to 4 hours but that's okay cause i got 6 hours in a row!!! Her hair is still curlier then ever! I have to put a little moose or gel in it to make it not fro but its so cute and its the one thing that I am claiming to be mine because everything else looks like Brett!!
Exactly 2 months from today Brett graduates from the police academy! I am so excited!! It will be nice to have my husband home at a decent time and actually get to see him and spend time with him! He is really excited because last Saturday they went to the shooting range and he got to shoot his gun! This is why I think he wanted to be a cop so he has a reason to play with guns!! He is in really good shape now though and I just want to smack him! I can finally start working out a little again so I hope I will be able to get back into shape pretty quick. It is starting to warm up here now and it is so nice! Summer definitely is my favorite time of year. I just can't wait to be able to bring Madison to the park and swimming and everything. Well I can't think of anything else to write so I hope everyone is doing well!

Family's

Grandpa Snow and Madi! She looks tiny in
his arms!

Uncle Robby at the hospital the night she
was born.

Uncle Nick! (he wouldn't smile!) He loves
his niece though!

Grandma with her 2 grandbabies!
I don't think she could be happier!

This is the cuttest nephew ever! This
is Kai! He was cute he wouldn't stop sticking
out his tounge!!

Grandma and Grandpa Reeves!

Aunt Rachelle. Madi totally passed out on her!

Well my little brother got his mission call! Yeah that's right he is almost 19!! He is called to serve in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana mission! He leaves July 2, 2008. He is speaking English but I am sure he will come back with a southern accent which will be so cool! Then he and Brett can speak in their own little southern language! I am so excited but so sad at the same time! I know he will be an awesome missionary. I am just so excited for him to go eat all the good food! He doesn't like fish and stuff so I can't wait to hear about all the fish and craw dads and everything that he has to eat!
Life is going well. I miss my husband all the time. He works from 8 am until 3:30 then I see him for an hour and off he goes to school until 9:30. His schedule is going to get worse before it gets better. He is so excited though because this week they are doing an intro into guns and teaching them how to clean them and stuff and then within the next couple weeks he gets to start shooting! The only thing that sucks about him starting this portion of the class is that he has to do night shoot towards the end and that means he is gone from early in the morning until at least 10 or 11 pm on Saturdays. Oh well he graduates July 8 and so I am so excited especially because I will be able to see him again! We are going to Massachusetts this summer for a week with my mom's family and we are so excited! It is seriously going to be so much fun. Nick will barely miss this trip which is sad. Corry and Meg and my cute little nephew Kai are going to be able to come though which will be fun cause we don't get to see them very often because of Corry's work and plus they live 6 or 7 hours away which wouldn't be fun to travel with a little baby! Meg and Corry are such cute parents! They are so lucky too beacause Kai is such a happy baby! (well at least what I have seen!) He loves his daddy though he laughs so hard at Corry. He is a good mixture of the two of them though. He is almost crawling and he likes to roll around places.
Well Madison is getting bigger everyday. She is enjoying her baths a little more. I just have to catch her when she is in a good mood. She is sleeping so well at nights but likes to fight sleeping during the day so she gets grumpy and cries. She is almost long enough for her newborn clothes which makes me so sad! She is already a month old and I can't believe it! It seems like yesterday that we found out that we were pregnant! Time defiantly does fly! Her grandpas and uncles are suckers for her its so cute! She is going to be the most spoiled little girl in the whole world I can tell already! The other day I put her on the ground on her belly and she totally rolled over! I think it was an accident but she has done it at least 5 times now though! She holds her head up so well and pretty much has since we brought her home from the hospital. She has an awesome set of lungs on her and her daddy just says that she is getting ready to talk every ones ears off which is true if she takes after me!!
