Til We Meet

Our very good family friend returned home on January 24,2013. Gail was the first one other then my parents to hold me when I was born. She and Mike have been Mom and Dad #2. If Mormons did the whole God Parents thing they would be my God Parents. She has been there for me my whole life. We got to see her one last time in May 2011 when they surprised me and my sibling in Florida when we were on our family vacation there. Shortly after she was diagnosed with cancer. We were told it was a form of cancer that kids usually get and they usually can pull out of it but adults usually have a harder time with it. It did go into remission for a short time but came back with a vengeance. She had already beaten breast cancer years before that. She had a lot of complications this time around and spent the last 6 months in and out of hospitals and finally in pretty much ICU because the chemo wiped out her immune system. She got MRSA and almost had to have a leg amputated. The final blow was a chest cold that very quickly turned into 2 different kids of pneumonia that ended up taking her life. She fought a good fight and hung on as long as she could. God had other plans for her. She is already greatly missed. Its weird to think she is not around. I keep wanting to pick up the phone and call her but she is not there. Mike is going to have to deal with my phone calls now!! I hope he gabs as much as she did!! Thank you Gail for being such an amazing person and mom #2! Thanks for yelling at Mike every time he tried to put me up a tree! Thank you for spoiling me for all those years and bringing me grocery shopping so I could keep Mike entertained and getting henna tattoos and being your goofy self! I love you and miss you. We will see you again one day.

December 2012

Taking my hubby out for his 28 birthday!!!

Brett insisted on taking a picture with me and the kids because I never have pictures with me in them. I am grateful he thought about it but I hate taking pictures!!

Christmas Eve! I am so proud of myself I made all 3 of their jammy pants!

See I like these kind of pictures with all 4 of them in them!! I just love them!

Grandma Snow and Casen on Christmas Day!

mmmmmm bread roll!

Uncle Nick and Casen. Casen didn't look too thrilled to have his picture taken. Oh well they are both so cute!

November 2012

I decided to attempt to take some pictures of Madi and they turned out okay with the crappy camera I have!!

She poses by herself its hilarious! She is so gorgeous though!

For Weston's birthday we took him to Fat Cats and ate pizza and bowled! It obviously was too loud he was covering his ears for the first part but then got used to the noise and stopped.

Obviously I was taking too long to cut the cake so he started eating it himself! Aunt Rachelle made this cake and brought it to the bowling alley for him! He loved it!

My Eskimo baby!

We went to California for Thanksgiving this year and we went by the San Diego temple to look at it! It is so pretty I love it!

Daddy and the kids on the beach! It was FREEZING and extremely windy but they didn't care! I stayed up on the beach and kept Casen warm!

This was a different night on the beach. Still FREEZING but they didn't care!!

This pelican was about the same size as my kids! He was just chilling and didn't move! People would walk right up next to him and he would just stare at them!

I always thought these two looked alike but didn't realize how much until I took this picture of the two of them next to each other!! Brett definitely looks like his dad!

This is how Casen spent beach time!

And like this!

Exploring the rocks!! We had to bundle them up after this in tons of towels and turn on the heater in the car to warm them up! They had so much fun and were such good sports the entire trip! I was dreading the 11 hour drive out there but thanks to DVD players and treats we made it through it without fits and even with a 7 month old it was really good!! If my kids are that good on ever trip I will bring them anywhere!!

We finally got a Christmas tree sooner then a week before Christmas!!

I am so in love and thankful for my little family. They make every Holiday amazing and I wouldn't want to spend any Holiday without them.
