March 2013

So Casen has had continuous issues with his ears and after multiple doctors appointments, all of which ended with ear infections, we were sent to an E.N.T. After seeing how many ear infections has had we made the decision to get ear tubes. I was not excited that my little baby was going to have surgery but I was glad to have caught all of this at such an early age that we can get it fixed and not have it affect his speech! I was happy that they only do a light anesthesia especially after having a scare when Weston came out of his surgery when he was 14 months old.

Thankfully it was first thing in the morning and he was the youngest patient that day so he was first up!!!

He was pretty pleasant for the most part. He wanted to just crawl around and play but they had to have him on the oxygen monitor before his surgery so he really couldn't go far or even go on the ground.

This is his um this isn't very fun anymore mom face!

Daddy finally got a little smile out of him!!

Trying to figure out what to do with this stupid cord attached to him!

Tasting the cord now.

Finally nice enough to play outside.

Madi is 5 now!!!!! For her birthday she wanted purple pancakes with sprinkles and jelly. So this is what she got!! She is so funny though she does not like syrup at all. So I finally got smart and started putting jelly on her pancakes and French toast and she loves it!!

Daddy was able to spend the whole day with us which just made her day. She was so happy that daddy got to come hang out with us and have fun with us all day. She asked if we could go to the mall and ride the train and play on their play area there so of course we took her!

So she has been asking me for months and months to get her ears pierced. I was always saying I wouldn't get her ears pierced until she was 8. Well after her begging for so long and me explaining to her that it will hurt and all that she still wanted them! So while we were at the mall Brett and I decided we would get her ears pierced.

Here is her ear after! She was so brave and did so well! She did cry a little and didn't want to second ear done but we coaxed her into holding still (well we kind of had to hold her still) we got the other one done. It was a perfect day to get them done too because Brett was able to be with us and little things like this we both like to be there for. She was happy to have her daddy there too because she loves to snuggle him and have him hold her during things like this. She decided to get pink and purple butterflies. She keeps telling me how much she loves them!!

So this was her birthday cake on her birthday. This year I didn't get too creative just put a cake in a crown shaped cake pan and called it good!

She loved it!! She didn't want to wait and started smashing her face into the cake and eating it before we could do anything! Weston followed suit and started smashing his face in and eating too!

At Madison's birthday party Brett got some dang cute pictures of this little guy!!

So happy and drumming on the table!

14 kids at her party! It went really good though and we all had a blast!

Her birthday cake was pink and purple in the inside! She loved it!

What is Weston's favorite part of parties?? Popping balloons! We hand him a fork and he goes nuts! And he picks up after himself! It is awesome! No balloons hanging around for days no popped balloons for Casen to choke on! I love this kid!

The Snow family grandkid Easter Egg hunt! I have a feeling these are going to turn out as competitive as the adult egg hunt one day!

Trying to figure out what to do with this egg...........

Tasting the egg........

February 2013

If you can't tell he was done by this point of the day but we went to Home Depot for a free craft day that they have the first Saturday of every month! The kids had a blast!!!!! Weston made a birdhouse and Madi made a little letter box just in time for Valentines Day!

She was loving this apron they gave them!!!

This is her cute little letter box. She does such a good job at painting and coloring. She loves to color and paint and she takes her time and is so meticulous about it. It really is so cute to watch the little wheels turn in her head!!

Our little army crawler. Man is he fast too!!!

Anyone that knows us knows we are HUGE Michigan fans so here is our little guy with his football jersey on and hat!! He looks so cute in this outfit!!!

His cute little smile with his tongue in the way!! I love these bright blue eyes!!!

January 2013

Love these days when they play so well together and don't fight.

Mommy got lazy and put them all in the bath together and then of course found a good photo opportunity!

We start them very young here on the Dr. Pepper!!!!!

Til We Meet

Our very good family friend returned home on January 24,2013. Gail was the first one other then my parents to hold me when I was born. She and Mike have been Mom and Dad #2. If Mormons did the whole God Parents thing they would be my God Parents. She has been there for me my whole life. We got to see her one last time in May 2011 when they surprised me and my sibling in Florida when we were on our family vacation there. Shortly after she was diagnosed with cancer. We were told it was a form of cancer that kids usually get and they usually can pull out of it but adults usually have a harder time with it. It did go into remission for a short time but came back with a vengeance. She had already beaten breast cancer years before that. She had a lot of complications this time around and spent the last 6 months in and out of hospitals and finally in pretty much ICU because the chemo wiped out her immune system. She got MRSA and almost had to have a leg amputated. The final blow was a chest cold that very quickly turned into 2 different kids of pneumonia that ended up taking her life. She fought a good fight and hung on as long as she could. God had other plans for her. She is already greatly missed. Its weird to think she is not around. I keep wanting to pick up the phone and call her but she is not there. Mike is going to have to deal with my phone calls now!! I hope he gabs as much as she did!! Thank you Gail for being such an amazing person and mom #2! Thanks for yelling at Mike every time he tried to put me up a tree! Thank you for spoiling me for all those years and bringing me grocery shopping so I could keep Mike entertained and getting henna tattoos and being your goofy self! I love you and miss you. We will see you again one day.

December 2012

Taking my hubby out for his 28 birthday!!!

Brett insisted on taking a picture with me and the kids because I never have pictures with me in them. I am grateful he thought about it but I hate taking pictures!!

Christmas Eve! I am so proud of myself I made all 3 of their jammy pants!

See I like these kind of pictures with all 4 of them in them!! I just love them!

Grandma Snow and Casen on Christmas Day!

mmmmmm bread roll!

Uncle Nick and Casen. Casen didn't look too thrilled to have his picture taken. Oh well they are both so cute!

November 2012

I decided to attempt to take some pictures of Madi and they turned out okay with the crappy camera I have!!

She poses by herself its hilarious! She is so gorgeous though!

For Weston's birthday we took him to Fat Cats and ate pizza and bowled! It obviously was too loud he was covering his ears for the first part but then got used to the noise and stopped.

Obviously I was taking too long to cut the cake so he started eating it himself! Aunt Rachelle made this cake and brought it to the bowling alley for him! He loved it!

My Eskimo baby!

We went to California for Thanksgiving this year and we went by the San Diego temple to look at it! It is so pretty I love it!

Daddy and the kids on the beach! It was FREEZING and extremely windy but they didn't care! I stayed up on the beach and kept Casen warm!

This was a different night on the beach. Still FREEZING but they didn't care!!

This pelican was about the same size as my kids! He was just chilling and didn't move! People would walk right up next to him and he would just stare at them!

I always thought these two looked alike but didn't realize how much until I took this picture of the two of them next to each other!! Brett definitely looks like his dad!

This is how Casen spent beach time!

And like this!

Exploring the rocks!! We had to bundle them up after this in tons of towels and turn on the heater in the car to warm them up! They had so much fun and were such good sports the entire trip! I was dreading the 11 hour drive out there but thanks to DVD players and treats we made it through it without fits and even with a 7 month old it was really good!! If my kids are that good on ever trip I will bring them anywhere!!

We finally got a Christmas tree sooner then a week before Christmas!!

I am so in love and thankful for my little family. They make every Holiday amazing and I wouldn't want to spend any Holiday without them.
