From Preggers to Baby...My perfect little girl:)

• 1- Where were you when you first found out you were pregnant? At my apartment in Utah!
  
• 2- Who was with you? Brett.....then Lucy and Dave!!!
  
• 3- How did you find out that you were pregnant? One day took a pregnancy test on a whim! We had been trying for over a year so I was just taking the test before I took another round of medication!
  
• 4-What was your first reaction to finding out you were pregnant? I couldn't believe it so I woke Brett up then called Lucy 100 times and then there was a lot or screaming and hugging and jumping up and down!

• 5- What main symptoms sold it for you? NONE! One day I was driving to work and had this butterfly kind of feeling just kind of told me I was pregnant!
  
• 6- Who was the first person you told? Brett
  
• 7-Did you plan to get pregnant? For over a year!
  
• 8-Was everybody happy for you? Oh yes!!!
  
• 9- Did you want to find out the sex? Are you crazy of course I did!!!
  
• 10-What was the sex? Girl!!! I knew it was the whole time Brett was thinking maybe boy but was glowing when the lady said girl!!
  
• 11-Did anyone throw you a baby shower? yes
  
• 12-If yes, who? Desi, my mom, Lucy
  
• 13- Did you get any outfits at the baby shower that you just knew you weren't going to put on your baby? Maybe one or two but for the most part everyone did awesome!! I think Desi regifted some to me though!!!! hehehe!! j/k!!!
  
• 14- How much weight did you gain? about 30

• 15- Did you lose all of the weight that you gained? I lost all but 10 then gained!!! It totally sucks..
• 16- Did you get a lot of stretch marks? Nope!! I was so lucky!!
  
• 17- What did you crave the most? Sour juicy candies!!
• 18- Did you crave anything crazy? I don't think so!! wait Coke!!! at the end it was bad!!
  
• 19-Who or what got on your nerves the most? Anything! I was so freaking mean!! Brett got in
• trouble an yelled at a lot!!
• 20-Did you ever resent your husband for "putting you in this situation"? Nope I told him it was about freaking time!! lol!!
  
• 21- Did you have any complications during your pregnancy? Not really my platelets were going down really fast at the end but thats really it!!

• 22-Where were you when you went into labor? On the couch talking with my friend Kelly.
  
• 23-Did your water break? Nope! They broke it at the hospital!
  
• 24- What were you feeling when you knew your baby was almost here? Anxious, Nervous, Ready!!!

• 25- Did you go early or late? 13 days early
• 26- Who was in the room with you when you gave birth? Brett, doctors, lots of nurses!
  
• 27-Was it video taped? Couldn't and didn't want to!!
  
• 28- Did you have any drugs for the pain? Spinal
  
• 29-Did you go natural or have a c-section? Unfortunately emergency c-section. She wanted to
• come out butt first!!
  
• 30- What was your first reaction after giving birth? I was knocked out for the sugery so there was no reaction except for when I was waking up tons and tons of pain!! I wanted to die!!

• 31- How big was the baby? 6 pounds 9 ounces
  
• 32- Did your Husband cry? No........Well he says he didn't and I have no witnesses to tell me otherwise!!!
• 33- What did you name the baby? Madison Nikole
  
• 34-Was it difficult coming up with his/her name? Nope!!! It was just something that stuck and no other names sounded remotely interesting.... We just knew from the beginning she was supposed to be Madison and one day we stuck Nikole after it!
  
• 35- How long were you in labor? Less then 5 hours that I can remember...

• 36- How much time did you get with your baby before they whisked him/her away? I'm not sure!! Brett got to hold her right after they suctioned her nose and he got to carry her to the nursery so she could be checked out and cleaned up and stuff... He said he showed her to me but I was passed out!!!!!
  
• 37- Did the baby(s) have any complications? Nope! Except for being stubborn and wanting to moon the world on the way in!!!
  
• 38- How old is your baby today? 8 1/2 months
  
• 39- When is the next one(s) coming? Probably not for a little while!
  
• 40-If you could, would you do it all over again? Being pregnant oh yes!! Having a c-section not really!!!

8 MONTHS!!!!!

Kai just celebrated his 1st birthday!!! He loved his cake and Aunt Meg and Uncle Corry were nice enough to let Madi have fun in the cake!! She liked her foot in it if you can't tell!!

So Aunt Desi got stuck with watching Madi one Saturday while Brett and I were working and

g-ma and g-pa were out of town to a funeral. They had fun playing and Madi just loved this walker thing! Desi had fun with the camera!!

How is it fair that she will sit with her and not me!!!!??? Little punk!!

Madi was running 102 plus temperatures this day but you couldn't tell!!! She was really good for Desi and then I got her home and it was a different story!! She is doing a ton better now.

Believe it or not Madison is 8 months old! I can't believe that she has gotten so big! Some days I just look at her and can't believe my eyes! Some days it seems like she got bigger over night!! She is sleeping through the night which is so nice! She is now getting in her top 2 teeth and you can see the whit of the one and the other is following pretty close behind! So for some awesome news!! Brett just got offered a job with a police department!!! He is going to do his gun qualifying stuff tomorrow and then he will have to do a really long Psych evaluation and then if he passes all of that he for sure has the job! The only bad news is is that he will be on the Reserve and going through field training for the next 17 weeks. It could be shorter. When he gets through the FTO then he will get paid so until then he will be volunteering!!!!! Totally sucks but I am sure it will be worth it in the end. When you are on the reserve you get paid but no benefits which totally sucks.... We will have to figure something out though. This police department is the best. They have the top gun training and everything. They are completely family oriented. The Chief informed Brett that if he misses a family function and he finds out about it he is in deep trouble. He is amazing and you can totally tell how much he cares for the guys on the force. He told us that once you are hired on you are part of a family. Not co-workers but a family. I am so excited and so grateful that Brett has gotten this job. He is so excited about it too. He makes me laugh cause he is so giddy over this job!!! It makes me so happy that he is happy. Everything else here is going well. Life has it's ups and downs I have had to learn to take a lot of things one day at a time and to rely on my faith to help me through the rough times. I hope everyone is doing very well!! Happy Holidays!!!

Halloween!

Madi's shirt says "Heart Breaker" on it! This is her baby doll that Aunt Lucy and one of her adopted grandma's G-ma Meyers got her!

This is a G-ma and G-pa Snows house...... She did this all by herself! She was there with daddy and the family while I was working and I guess she wanted to go down stairs! Cadillac is supervising!

She wasn't too sure about those crunchy leaves! This is her disgusted face!!

We went across the street to take these pictures because they had tons of leaves and my parents don't have any! This is our puppy and lion! (if you can't tell Madi is the puppy and Kai is the lion!)

Kai was petting Madi! My cousin's little boy kept pointing at her and saying "puppy, puppy"! I was laughing so hard! We were up visiting my grandma Snow.

That's my girl! Yes she knows how to grab what she wants! She got up on her knees and totally looked in the bowl and grabbed what she wanted! Daddy later got her peanut butter m&m's when she was done chewing on the outside!

Just relaxing in the wagon! She totally looks like a puppy!

My parents other neighbor had this out front and we had to put the kids in it and take pictures! This is a real pumpkin he had to carve it with a chainsaw!

It was a long night... We went to uncle Robby's work to say hello and show him the babies! Can you tell she is a total daddy's girl! She loves putting her face against his and she likes to feel his chin hairs!

So this Halloween was a lot of fun! We went trick or treating to a few people's houses around my parents neighborhood! It was more to show the kids off then to get candy although both Brett and Corry got candy and they were very happy! I think that is the main reason why dads like to take the kids cause then they can eat all the candy!! The whole family except Rob and of course Nick came. Rob had to work and Nick is....well on a mission duh! The grandparents went and loved I mean LOVED showing off their grand babies to everyone in the ward. We pulled the kids a long in a wagon and I pulled them for a little bit and then got tired of it and then grandpa jumped on the chance to pull them. By the way it was chilly outside and my dad wore a t-shirt and pants!!! He is is denial that it is getting cold I think! (by the way it snowed for the first time today!!) Robby is now working at Cabella's and is somewhat liking it. He as to stand the whole time he is working so the first few days were brutal on his legs and feet. But he finally listened to me and wore some shoes that are cushioned and have an arch in them and he seems to be doing a little better. Nick is doing good he is in a new area and as far as I can tell he likes it. There is some funky looking houses in the area he is in he sent us some pictures and wow some people have too much time on their hands!! Corry and Meg are still looking for a house and Meg is definitely liking the changing of the seasons. Well at least the fall colors!! Madi and Kai play together and try to take each others toys! It is pretty funny cause Kai can grab and run and Madi can just sit there and hang on to the toy with all her might after she takes it from Kai! Madi tried to bite him the other day though with her two bottom teeth! Luckily Meg and I were sitting right there and stopped her before she could do any damage! She has got one heck of a bite! She is crawling everywhere and if you leave the room she chases you into the next and she thinks she can stand on her own and tries to do it a lot but falls every time! She also thinks she can walk on her own so she will let go of us and... well.. fall!! She is so cute and I love how funny she is! She definitely is turning out to be a comedian! She likes to stare at Corry and Robby and they have to work hard to get a smile from her but she likes to smile at the rest of us for the most part!

WOW!!!

So I made cupcakes and we decided to let Madi have one! Well... SHE WENT NUTS! She tore that cupcake to bits and tried to put as much as she could in her mouth! Most ended up on her though! It was so funny hopefully she will do the same on her birthday!

This baby monkey went and stared at Kai then came a stared at Madi! Both Kai and Madi stared right back in was cute!

Madi's first ride on a merry-go-round and she rode on a giraffe she kept looking around like what is going on! She loved it though.

We put the two together at the very end Madi just wanted to pull Kai's hair and Kai was too distracted with going up and down. They both loved the zoo.

This is my best friend Trista's little girl Brooklyn. We have been friends since birth literally. They had fun together steeling each others binkys and everything!

Trista and I have a picture just like this! Brooklyn stole the binky out of Madi's mouth and Madi is looking at her like hey that's mine!!! lol!

So life has been so fun lately! My brother Corry and his wife Meg just moved up here! It has been so much fun! The first week they were here though EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE got the flu! It was horrible! Everyone was just bumming around taking turns in the bathrooms and laying around. Thankfully we all recovered.... Madi got an ear infection on top of the flu and let me tell you it was so hard thankfully I had my parents around to help because Brett was sick and so was I. Anyways we have been having so much fun with Meg and Kai! Madi and he are starting to interact more Kai picks on her and she picks on him. He walks around everywhere and Madi crawls as fast as she can after him and when she can't catch him (which she never does) she screams at him and sometimes even starts to cry and pout it is so cute and funny. Madi is talking like crazy... I guess I should say babbling like crazy. She says dadadadad it is way cute and every time she does that and Brett is around he says what!? She has started laughing like crazy too. She doesn't giggle out loud too much but she thinks everything is funny. Her favorite thing to do now is when she is supposed to be taking a nap she sits in there and talks and starts screaming and everything and then when I go to check on her she starts laughing so hard and kicks her arms and flails her arms and just goes crazy with excitement! I love every minute of being with her. There are definitely hard times but after this whole sickness thing I appreciate the good times so much more.

Someone thought it would be fun to dump out mommy's purse! This look she gets from her dad! It's the "What! I didn't do anything" look!

So she was playing with her bouncy and standing up with her feet on the ground I looked away for a second and turned back around to see this! Fearless little girl!!!

She didn't even cry to get down she just kept chewing on the top! If she had let go she would have fell right back on her head! I took her down after I was done taking pictures and laughing my butt off!

She has gotten so big! She used to not even come close to filling up her car seat! Uncle Nick got her those "pimpet" shoes as he likes to call them!

Um..... She was laying down but decided that wasn't fun anymore..... This was much funner just ask her!


She looks so big! She doesn't like to hold your hand when she stands, she wants to do it by herself! She really thinks she can walk! She falls everytime she lets go to walk its cute!

I'm not sure I see the resemblance! She definately is her daddy's girl!

I'm not sure does Brett like Michigan or what!?I made that blanket he is laying on and the pillow and the pajama pants he is wearing match the pillow... (Ryan and Randy eat your heart out!! lol!)(Madison is wearing a Michigan onesie too and has a binky next to her that is Michigan)

She was supposed to be sleeping and I went in to check on her and this is what I saw!

This is our "pimpin" Madi! Uncle Rob got her this whole outfit all the way down to her slippers!

We were waiting to board the plane in California and this is the only way Madi was happy!

I made the mistake of teaching her to stand like that while we were walking through the airport!

This is at a beach around San Diego area. The water was so cold and Madi started screaming when the waves came up and got on her feet! Brett had fun in the water with his family tho!

Now that she knows how to stand up on things she thinks she can CLIMB on them now!

Aunt Jaclyn made her these bows and I just couldn't resist putting them all in her hair!

She is so funny! This is a goofy smile but she makes us laugh so hard sometimes!

So this has been a very eventful month! Madison is now crawling! She has been army crawling since 5 1/2 months and then she got to be around her cousin Kai and she learned how to crawl just by watching him! So not only is she crawling but she is pulling herself up on EVERYTHING!! She is also trying to climb on things. Today I found her trying to climb up on her bouncy chair! She had one leg up and was trying to pull herself the rest of the way up with her hands! She also knows how to work her mommy and daddy over. She will crawl on the ground and start whinning and stuff and then she will crawl to wherever we are and then put one hand up in the air toward us like pick me up please! We just can't help but just pick her up and cuddle her! She also LOVES being on the couch! The back of our couch is against the window and she loves to climb up the back of the couch and look out the window. She loves being outside and so I amsure she is wishing she was out there. She watches cars drive by too an it makes me laugh so hard cause her head will totally turn from side to side while looking at the cars! She will do anything she can to get to anything and everything Brett and I have in our hands. Today I was sitting on the ground and the laptop was behind me on the couch and the little stinky came crawling up to me so I was thinking that she wanted her mommy and wanted to cuddle with me! OH NO!!! I was totally wrong! She tried crawling up my body and kept trying to grab the laptop! She is strong too cause she seriously almost crawled up my body by herself! She thought it was funny tonight too when her and Brett were hanging out she kept looking out the window while on the couch and she would look over at the couch and would just fall back on it! Brett would say uh oh! and she would start laughing at him and do it again!! Oh yeah!! She has officially gotten her first tooth too!! You can just see the top but it is so sad to see her grow up!! We also had to lower her bed so she won't stand up and fall out of her bed! She is finally sleeping through the night too. It is amazing! I couldn't remember how nice it was to sleep all the way through the night and now that I remember I don't know how I went through 6 months of not sleeping! I hope everyone is doing well!!
