Are we done yet!?!?

So Madi was helping me make french toast the other morning and I ran to get Wes really fast and told Madi to not touch anything. Well I came back to this! I had to just start laughing it was so funny! She kept telling me it needed more eggs and I kept telling her it didn't so she took matters into her own hands! lol!

Madi had a nice hospital visit this week.....  She had Pneumonia..... So exciting.... She was in for 2 nights and 2 1/2 days...  They gave her a blanket and that cute little flower doggy!

She was on oxygen pretty much the whole time. We finally got her off of it the last night there.

We finally got her up and moving and they had this little play room so she went and played for a little while until her oxygen went down again then we had to go back to the room and be hooked back up to the oxygen machine...

Hey you have to make the best out of the hospital trip so here is a tent for Madi!!

They gave her lots of play dough and she wanted to sit on the ground and play with it. Daddy's shoes got decorated too!

Lounging on daddy watching some tv!
No really is this month over yet because I am over all the sickness and hospital visits! I took Madi into the doctor Friday because she was only breathing out of her tummy. They said she had pneumonia and to get the antibiotics in her quickly they gave her shots right there in the office and gave me some antibiotics to start giving her. The doctor still felt like something was off but after getting a second opinion she felt it was okay to send us home but to call immediately if there are any concerns. She seemed to be doing okay just really exhausted and started getting lethargic so Monday morning Brett and I decided she needed to go in so I took Weston in the same time because he was starting to cough really bad too. So I had my mom meet me there since it is right by her house because I had a feeling I was going to be needing her arms. Well thank heavens she was there! Madi's oxygen was at 86% which anything below 90% is not good. So they started her on a breathing treatment which she was kicking and screaming and trying to hit the nurses and everything because she was so scared of it! But once it was on she didn't mind at all. So while she was hooked up to a breathing treatment they checked out Weston and decided that they needed to put him on a breathing treatment as well. So my mom held one kid while I held the other both having breathing treatments. After Madison's treatment her oxygen went down to 81% which is not very usual and then it wouldn't go up. So they hooked her up to an oxygen tank there in the office and you could just see the difference in her face she started to pink up and everything. So the doctors told me that we needed to bring her to the hospital. I just sat there and stared at him hoping he was kidding but he wasn't.... Weston sounded a little better after the treatment so they decided to start him on antibiotics immediately so that he wouldn't get as bad as her. I called Brett told him to meet me at the hospital and that he needed to get us registered because I had strict instructions to go right to the pediatrics and get her in a room. The doctor called ahead so as soon as we got there they knew who we were and had a room ready for us. Madi didn't flinch when they put the IV in which totally surprised us all! She was on a good amount of oxygen the first day and a half then they slowly weaned her off. She responded well to the medication there and they got her hydrated and everything. Before we were able to leave we had to make sure she was eating and drinking enough to sustain her since she was not eating or drinking before we got there. So we finally coaxed her into eating and drinking enough so we finally were released! YAY! Now we are home and Madi is a ton better Weston feels like crap which is no fun and Brett and I are both sick with bad head colds and can barely keep our eyes open because we feel like crap too! Isn't life so exciting sometimes! I am thankful that Madi was not sicker then she was though and that we all just have these nasty colds. Its times like these though I want to duplicate myself so my house can get some what cleaned and both my kids could be held and cuddled at the same time like they constantly want and then one more of me to feed me and the kids lol! (Desi and Amber if you didn't have babies I would let you come pamper me!lol!) Hopefully this is it for hospital trips for the year! The good news is is that we met our insurance deductible for the year and its only January 27! Don't you wish you were us!? lol! Oh dear I think the sleep deprivation is getting to me I'm going to go now!

Weston Surgery!!!

This is what happens when your 1 year old has to feed himself.... Thank heavens for sinks with sprayers and bath tubs!!

Landen was sitting on the couch then Madi then Weston wanted to join so here they all are sitting on the top of the couch loving it! Silly kids!!

Brett was taking pictures of Madi and Weston decided he wanted his taken so he would scream and yell until Brett would take a picture of Weston then turn around to snap a couple more of Madi then Weston would scream and yell again until Brett would take another picture of him! I was laughing so hard this little boy is a goof ball!

Apparently pudding goatees are the new in thing!!

Playing in the snow outback of our house! Weston stood pretty much the whole time until Brett had him sit down on his lap! Madi actually got down all by herself and was throwing snow with Landen and made snow angels and everything!

This was the day of Weston's surgery. The hospital had this little window so I put Weston in it so he could look out over the stairs and stuff. He liked it for a few minutes then he wanted out!!

West in his cute little hospital outfit!! The poor baby didn't eat all day. His surgery was supposed to be at 11 but it ended up being between 12 and 1pm. He actually did really well Brett and I were both surprised!!

He loved this little car! He would flirt with all the nurses and they all absolutely fell in love with him!! We chased him around and he would giggle so hard it was so cute! The nurses said they haven't heard that much laughter from a little kid in the longest time there in the hospital!

Playing a little piano thing.

After the surgery I went back with Wes until he was stabilized more and then they moved us to a different little room where Brett was waiting for us. He looks so puffy and stuff in this picture but it went away really fast.

See not so puffy anymore!! He drank so much apple juice and ate a ton of graham crackers the nurses were scared he was going to throw it all up but he held it all down!
Over all the surgery went really well. He gave us a scare when he was coming out of anesthesia he wouldn't breath on his own and when he was first coming out of it he had a severe asthma attack, and they could not get him to start breathing on his own. They had to breath for him off and on for a little while and then they gave him a few breathing treatments and a bunch of steroids and eventually he started shallow breathing by himself and after more breathing treatments he started to breath a lot better. The anesthesiologist said she would not be surprised if he has asthma and stuff when he gets older which doesn't surprise me because my dad and brothers have bad asthma and Brett did when he was little and sometimes now. We will see though. Anyway he is doing so good. A little fussy but overall really good!! Its like he never had surgery the day he came home he was going crazy walking around and trying to tackle his sister and everything! But then he has down time where he wants to be cuddled and held and loved. I love those moments. On top of the surgery he is teething like crazy and his molars refuse to poke through so he is just extra fussy! Life has been crazy though because Madi has been super fussy and cranky and clingy also so its been pretty rough go but things are calming down a little bit now. Thank heavens I have help with Renee living here and Brett was home for a couple days to help out. My mom was awesome though and made us dinner that night and cleaned my kitchen and Renee picked up my front room and everything so we didn't come home to a disaster. My cousin Amber watched Madi all day and I think our little girls had so much fun together! They actually play really nice together it surprises me! Anyway back to running after my kids and feeding them! I swear Wes is going to eat us out of house and home when he gets older!! hahaha!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Look what Santa brought for Madi!! She was so excited she rode it inside our house that day and still likes to try to get on it and ride it in our house. Its cute though she cannot push the pedals backwards due to brakes on the bike and for some reason she pushes backwards first then starts pedaling forward, so she will come and tell me and Brett that her bike is broken because she cant get the pedals to move backward like she wants!

Weston loves my brother Rob! They sat and played with this toy forever! I am not sure who had more fun though Weston or Rob!

Brett was taking pictures of Wes the other morning and this is the face he kept giving Brett! Nice courtesy smile! lol!

She loves putting the piano books on the piano and flipping the pages and acting like she can play! Its way cute and as you can see her little brother likes to try to play too. He gets so mad when he can't see on top of things!

We actually went and got our Christmas tree more then a week before Christmas this year! This guy was way cool and let Landen help him pull the tree through the mesh stuff!

Look at my little man!!! He is just planning the best way on how to undecorate this tree! lol!!

These two love each other they play so good together its amazing! They have their days but for the most part they love to hang out and play games together. Now that Weston is getting older he will go and play with them too and chase them around the house to wherever they go its cute to watch the 3 of them interact.

This is what happened one day when Madi didn't get a nap! What's funny is that I had gone visiting teaching earlier that day and I had just gotten done telling the ladies how Madison NEVER EVER will go to sleep anywhere unless she is in a bed and even then she puts up a fight! Well we left her with Renee for like 20 minutes and when we got back Renee met us at the door telling us to be quite and look inside the front door and this is what we found! She was playing in there at first and then Renee said she stopped moving so she lifted up the cushion to make sure Madi was okay and found her completely passed out! Poor little thing! But at least she took a short snoozer!!

We let Weston eat this Tootsie Pop thinking that he couldn't fit it in his mouth and that he would have a hard time eating it! Well we were completely wrong! The kid fit the whole thing in his mouth with ease and ate it all the way down to the Tootsie Roll and then chucked it across the room because it wasn't the good stuff anymore! And to our surprise and I'm sure to everyone else out there there was no mess on his white shirt or anything!! The kid stayed completely clean it was crazy!!
This is our Santa picture! The kids REFUSED to go close to him by themselves so we sat in. This guy was way cool and looked the part. Minus some yellow in his hair and beard from obvious smoking... So sad but hey at least he was a way nice guy and was there making kids' and parent's happy.

This is what happens when your 2 1/2 year old figures out that chairs make awesome step stools and grabs a bag of cheese puffs and then goes to share with her little brother! My floor was orange my kids were orange and mom was laughing so hard because seriously how could you ever get mad at these little faces in this situation!?

The look on Weston's face is priceless in this picture! I can't help but burst into laughter every time I look at this picture! I'm so going to show his girlfriends this picture!!

Look how cute his little face is!!! Santa brought Wes this awesome toy that the 2 big kids like to play with! lol! The poor thing has to fight them to play with it now! But he loves it! He loves pushing all the buttons and pushing it around our house and everything its way cute!

We had an awesome Christmas this year! Brett got me a new laptop which is going to be nice to have especially because our desktop is unreliable and he has a really nice laptop we just bought him at the beginning of the year but its for him to bring to school and do all that fun stuff with so I was always without a computer! It was just a little annoying! I didn't get him that much because I figured if I spent a ton of money on him he may not like it but now I know that next year I am going to set a price limit! He did get some nice new shoes from me though and a new hat and stuff. He just turned 26 too! Crazy! He is starting school again this week which I am not excited about. But hey if it helps us in the end then it will be worth it. Life is crazy right now with both he and I working Renee working 3 kids to find babysitters for and all that fun stuff. Thankfully I have amazing family that helps out. Rachelle and my mom are my go to people right now when I need a babysitter for a few hours until Renee, Brett, or I get off work and one of us can watch them. I am going nuts right now because my dad is finishing our basement and so everything that was down there is now upstairs in the kids rooms in our front room and in the kitchen. My house is not that big so it is just overly cluttered and everything and it is especially hard with 3 kids wanting to run around and go crazy and they are constantly tripping over crap! Oh Weston is officially walking everywhere! It makes me so sad to see him getting bigger. Madi is getting tall! Okay for me she is getting tall! She looks like a little girl now! Seriously when people say time flies when you have kids and in a blink of an eye they are all grown up they aren't kidding! It just seems like my kids get bigger older wiser every day and there is nothing I can do to slow down the process and enjoy it more! I love my kids and I'm so thankful for them. Even though they can be crazy demanding some days and they can drive me crazy I would never ever change a single moment that I get to have with them. It is seriously such a blessing and a privilege to have been able to have the two of them come into our family. Oh and next week Wes gets to go have surgery and I'm not excited. I believe the surgery will take about 2 to 3 hours just depending because he is getting 2 procedures done. I'm nervous only for the anesthesia part. My Uncle is doing the surgery so I know he is in the most qualified hands and I wouldn't trust him with any other doctor. It is not a big surgery or anything that is life threatening or anything like that but just the fact that my baby is going in for surgery and going under anesthesia it makes me nervous. But I know that he will be okay and I am glad to have the priesthood in our lives and have a husband and family worthy to give him a blessing so that they can give him a blessing to help him through this also. *sigh* It is late I am exhausted. Lack of sleep is really getting to me mentally emotionally every way! lol! Seriously I feel like a walking zombee! I hope I can catch up a little before next week because I have a feeling I'll be up a lot next week with Wes....
I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and I hope everyone will have an amazing year! I can't wait to see what this year brings for our little family!! Love to all!!

More pictures!!

GO UNLV!!!! (ya we totally got our butts kicked!!!) Brett was a good sport and wore red for Desi and I but Jeff.... well..... He is a through and through Utard! hehehe!! We will never corrupt him into wearing red! He was just a little happy though that BYU was killing us! We have a rivalry every year with him and every year we lose! Des and I decided we should have suited up and went and played then maybe we could have at least moved the ball! lol!!
Here's me and my bestie!!! We were sitting in the middle of all blue!! We stuck out like a sore thumb!! At half time we decided to call it a day since there was no hope of our Running Rebels coming back! It was suck a sad game. Des and I left a little angry!! It was fun though to go to a football game finally though!

We needed to go somewhere the other day and didn't feel like switching car seats from one car to the next so I decided to try him out in his old car seat!! Ya no wonder why we switched him at 6 months to a convertible one! He is so tall! He is almost as tall as Madison!

Happy 1st birthday bubba!! This is how dinner started so civil and clean!

This is like 5 minutes later!!!!! He had a great time making a mess and eating his spaghetti as fast as possible!!!

My mom baked Wes a round cake and then I decorated it like a basketball!! He loved it can you tell!?!?!?

After his bath in the kitchen sink to get all of the cake and all of the other food off of him!! He loved taking a bath in the sink! Who knew it could be so much fun! lol!! He is about to open a present here! I can't wait until Christmas! Madi had to help him open the first couple but he started to get the hang of it after a minute! Seriously though Christmas is going to be so much fun this year with both our kids and Landen too!!

These are Weston's 1 year old stats!!
Length 31 1/4"   97%
Weight 22 pounds  50% (he is like 23 or 24 now though!)
Head circ: 47.4cm   75%

We had an awesome Thanksgiving this year! I ate way too much food! I'm totally not joking! The next day I was still so full that I could barely eat anything!!!

Really Behind!!!

This is Weston's first taste of a pickle!! We love the funny faces that he makes!!! He kept wanting more too! He also likes lemons too! He seriously makes crazy faces everytime he takes a bite but the funny little boy just keeps wanting more!!

This was our oh so exciting trip to the E.R. with Madi a couple months ago. She wasn't feeling very well at all in this picture but by the end of the hospital visit she looked completely different! She had color to her face and actually was smiling by the time we left! Thank heavens she started to feel better we didn't like the fact that she was so sick.

Our little tiger! He is suck a funny kid! As long as he has a drink and food he is the happiest little guy around!

So Brett was attempting to get his homework done but Madi kept bugging him. All of a sudden it went quite in the kitchen so I went in to see what she was up to and this is what I found! She went and got her computer and was "doing homework" with her daddy! She loves spending time with him and doing the things that he is doing! And he loves it too!

Aunt Rachelle went trick-or-treating with us! This is the two cheese balls!

My beautiful babies!!!

This is Weston's signature move!! It gets all the ladies! lol!!!

Brett was at work while we got these done but he no doubt would have made this picture perfect.......

Madi is attempting a funny face and Weston is doing some kind of Karate Kid move!

I love how sweet this picture looks. They really do love each other.

My daughter is so gorgeous!!!

Typical boy!

What a model!
So we know this guy that is kinda cool depending on the day....... JUST KIDDING KIRBY!!! My little brothers old mission companion took these amazing pictures of us! It was so nice to be able to finally get a few pictures of my kids. I just wish Brett had time during the day sometime to take pictures with us. I feel bad he is either at work at school or studying. The rest of the time he is trying to catch up on sleep, and trying to catch up with me and the kids. I wish I could just snap my fingers and have him done with school in an amazing really good paying job so that he could spend time with us! Hopefully he will be done within the next 2 1/2 years!! My kids did okay with these pictures though. Weston just wanted to move and Madi didn't want to smile. So Kirby just snapped pictures as fast as possible and they turned out as you can tell amazing!! So anyone that wants to get pictures done click on Kirby Bolick Photography and just leave a message on his blog if you want pictures! Trick or Treating was so much fun this year! We had my nephew Landen with us and Madi just followed him from door to door! We also went with my brother Corry and my sister in law Meg and there two boys so between the 3 older kids they brought home a lot of candy for their parents!! I mean for themselves! hehe!!  They had so much fun though running from door to door! It was misting rain up here so we were glad the kids were going fast! They even ran into a couple "haunted garages" and didn't get scared at all! I wouldn't go in them though I am a total party pooper and refuse to go into any haunted houses! I did however let Brett pick out a couple scary movies for us to watch so I thought that that was fair! I am getting so excited for the holidays! Thanksgiving and Christmas are some of my favorite holidays! It is getting even more exciting watching Madi and Landen look through all the magazines that are coming in with all the toy adds and they walk around saying I want this I want this! And then they make phone calls on their fake phones to Santa and order toys! It seriously cracks me up they are so funny! Madi and Weston have been playing so much more lately. Madi runs and tackles Weston and then he laughs so hard so she rolls around with him and over him and he just sits there and laughs! He is seriously almost as big as her! Its crazy! She was so tiny and petite and he is just a growing monster! Maybe he is average though!? He turns 1 this Sunday! I can't believe that he is going to be 1!!! Where did that past year go!? I mean seriously sleepless nights busy days running after kids makes time go by so fast! And I feel horrible that I have not taken half as many pictures of him as I did her! I guess that's the way it goes though! I am loving our house and our neighborhood still! (even though it is not decorated as much as I or someone else I know would like it to be cough cough Desi cough cough!! ;})We have so many young couples and young kids around here its awesome!! What is even nicer is, is that my cousin and my brother both live within walking distance from us! Its just sad we don't play as much as we should! I am getting excited for Thanksgiving though because my grandma and uncle and aunt are coming up from Arizona and we don't get to see them too often so it is going to be so much fun and there is going to be so much food! Lets just hope that I don't gain the weight back that I have been trying so hard to lose!!! Enjoy the pictures of my beautiful kids!!!Kirby Bolick Photography
